Cognizant
Cognizant (NASDAQ: CTSH) is a global provider of information technology, consulting and business process outsourcing services headquartered in Teaneck, N.J. Cognizant was founded in1994 as an IT development and maintenance services arm of The Dun & Bradstreet Corporation. The company was spun off as an independent organization two years later. Since 1996, Cognizant has worked closely with large organizations to help them build stronger, more efficient, and more agile businesses.
Challenge
In addition to their existing core business, Cognizant wanted to set up a private, online community to support and link CIOs, IT Directors and Business Managers at Cognizant’s client firms. This required new technology but they did not have internal staff with the required skills. It is unlikely that they are going to require these skills on a frequent enough basis to justify employing a developer on a full-time basis.
Solution
Jamaza originally assigned a senior developer on a full-time basis to analyse and implement an online Joomla community with extensive modifications beginning in 2008. Since then, Jamaza have provided ongoing support and development.
Currently, Jamaza provide a senior developer that works part-time for Cognizant but who is always on call at short notice for any new functionality that is needed or issues that need fixing.

QuidProJobs
QuidProJobs is an example of the collaborative economy in which B2B and B2C is replaced by B2All, a marketplace where boundaries between producers and consumers are fading, and trust is the foundation. This system can make anyone, including non-actives, a matchmaker who can earn income.
Their portal was developed from the assessment that a classical approach to the labor market does not solve the "lack of staff-problem" of companies. In current platform and community thinking, there are other ways to seal the gap between supply and demand. The QuidProX web-based platform is therefore a typical exponent of this collaborative economy driven by information technology, with a ranking system as quality control that provides trust between users who do not know each other, allowing users to work flexibly in space and time.
Challenge
QuidProJobs are a growing tech start-up from Brussels with limited internal IT resources. Their portal is an entirely new concept in recruitment and required complex new functionality to support their initiative. They needed experienced architectural support backed up by a solid team of web developers to bring their concept to reality quickly and cost-effectively.
Solution
Jamaza have worked closely with QuidProx for several months to design, build and launch their portal and create the bespoke Joomla component that delivers their unique functionality. Network Activator
The founders of Network Activator—all veteran community managers (CMs)—believe that even the best CMs need help to succeed. Network Activator is a community management app which integrates seamlessly with major business community platforms including Microsoft Yammer, Jive, IBM Connections and Liferay.
Network Activator focuses on member engagement and business value. Network Activator manages the flow of community content, selecting content to “bubble up” in KPI reports. The app segments the community membership, and creates “Activators” – a guiding auto-generated list of successful member outreach activities for 1-click approval. Community management tasks that previously took days, now take minutes.
Challenge
As a growing start-up (based in Boston and Tel Aviv), Network Activator was concerned about the speed of hiring a development team. They anticipated periods of high and low demands for developers, and needed a strategic partner to create and build the first version and on-going implementation work to extend and grow the product.
Solution
By partnering with Jamaza, Network Activator were able to build their cutting edge online product flexibly, without having to over-commit by hiring a large developer team.
